Danshui Old Street

Ying Chen Photography

Danshui is  located at the exit of the

Danshui river in the Taipei Basin.

Started trading in 1858.

It is the earliest developed port

in northern Taiwan.

Except for the Danshui estuary plain in the territory,

most of them are the mausoleums of Datun Mountain.

Danshui generally refers to the area of the Danshui river basin,

( North Taiwan ).

Stroll along the Danshui street,

Western-style, Traditional architecture of South Fujian and Japanese-style old buildings,

there are endless old past events.

Tourists can take the ferry between Bali

and Dadaocheng to enjoy the scenery of the Danshui River.

There are a line of antique shops in the old street near the ferry terminal of Zhongzheng Road and Zhongshan Road.

It is also a place where people gather.

Overlooking the endless mountains

and river,

the waves keep surging,

I also see the peace and joy on people's faces.

Lunar new year

Ying Chen Photography

The Place de la Republique is surrounded

by lanterns and ribbons.

As I recall,  the Asian District

in Paris was held every year

Lunar New Year's float parade, dragon

and lion dance.

It was very lively.

Everyone was so happy

and smiling.

Asian District of Paris (13th District )

Ying Chen Photography

Quartier chinois de Paris

Petite Asie

(Belleville )

The main Asian Chinatown in Paris

Chinese Quarter of Paris

Also known as Little Asia.

It is located in the 13th arrondissement

of Paris.

It is one of the three Asian communities

in Paris.

Three other Asian districts in Paris :

Belleville -

in the twenty district of Paris.  it is the second largest Chinatown in Paris.

Rue au Marie -

in the  third district of Paris.  Chinese and Southwest Asian communities.

Rue des Petits-Champs -

in the second district of Paris,

it is the district of Japan and South Korea.

In the 1970s,

from the former French colonies

Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos

Chinese settled here.

Many residents speak Cantonese,

Chiuchow dialect, Vietnamese,

Khmer and Lao dialect.

Paris Chinatown is the largest Asian community in Europe.

There are about 50,000 Chinese

living in this district.

Residents also include people from

French Polynesia.

And the Chinese in French Guiana,

And Asians from New Caledonia.

Some people say that this place can be said

” crouching dragon and hidden tiger ”

In fact, the bitterness of immigration is indescribable.

I feel that although there are many people from different ethnic groups in this area,

the interaction is very harmonious.

Multiculturalism, language, customs...

It requires people's mutual tolerance and understanding and communication.

Only then can the society be harmonious and beautiful.

Hawkers, traditional shops, handicrafts,

tea sets, pastry shops, supermarkets

and abound.

The boulevard gleamed gold

in the shine of the setting sun,

also crammed with laughing crowd

sweeping away the gloomy in winter.

Stroll in this place,

haven't been to for a long time,

I feel something special

and affection.
