瑞士巴塞爾的歌徳館

建於1925年，

由建築師魯道夫·史坦納設計，

宏偉的建築以混凝土建造。

是人智學（ Anthroposophy ) 研究中心，

亦舉行許多活動

提供不同領域思想與文化活動交流處。

典雅的大禮堂提供音樂會、

戲劇《 浮士德 》定期演出。

魯道夫· 史坦納的哲學、靈學、神學思想

深受歌德的思想與修為啓發，

也因對於歌德的崇敬

而將此建築命名為「 歌徳館」

歌徳對生命的認知

呈現在《 浮士德 》:

勇於探索、面對生命的真相 -

精神與物質生活的悲喜歷程、

努力解決人生難題⋯

「我要在内心深深领悟，

領悟人類所赋有的一切。

最崇高深遠的我都要瞭解。

我要把全人類的苦樂放在我心上，

將我的小我擴大成为人類的大我⋯ 」

在現實生活中

歌徳是極盡所能靈修的修行者。

佇立於優雅莊嚴的大禮堂，

想到《 浮士德 》曾在此上演

無數次⋯

我們每天不也是生活在人生的舞台？

是否有盡心盡力

去詮釋每一個角色？

館內頂樓有座巨型木雕 - 人性之代表

（因禁止拍照，只能拍到雕刻前的模擬造型）

是由魯道夫· 史坦纳

與埃䢗特· 瑪麗安合作的構想。

描述著人生真相：

如果與世隔絕，活在虛幻境地，

將會阻礙生活種種的考驗試煉與修行。

物質雖然是為生存所需，

然而利欲薰心

將會失去自我與內在善美的本質。

此雕塑亦是對於人性靈修極至的刻畫。

在我眼裡，

這是對生命的禮讚 -

我們人生的學習、成長、

修身養性是在日常生活中。

要盡可能的面對、處理、放下

遭遇的種種,

尊重生命，看透生老病死，

悲歡離合⋯

貢獻己力福利衆生

才不枉此生。

歌德館

融入了當時籌建社團的精神與理念

 ( 通過可見的形式與藝術造型

將內心靈性與生命的研究與探索呈現出來

且終於完成使命 )

他們堅強的意志力與行動力

令人欽佩。

長廊、階梯

與曲線完美的每個角落淡淡的色彩

迎向陽光⋯

和諧、活力

令我感受到生命的美妙。

Goetheanum in Basel 

was built in 1925, 

architectural design by 

Rudolf Steiner ( 1861 - 1925 )

This magnificent building was made of concrete.

It is a research center of Anthroposophy.

Also hold many events provide an ideal forum 

for people from different areas to exchange ideas. 

The elegant auditorium offers concerts

and regular performance theatre 《 Faust 》

Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy, parapsychology 

and theological thoughts were deeply

inspired by Goethe’s thoughts and cultivation.

Also because of the respect for Goethe

this building was named “ Goetheanum “

Goethe（ 1749 - 1832 ）

his perception of life 

was presented in《 Faust 》：

Dare to explore, 

face the truth of life -

The joys and sorrows of spiritual and material life, 

work hard to solve life problems... 

「 I want to understand deeply in my heart and understand everything about human being.

I have to understand the most noble and far-reaching.

I want to put pain and happiness of all mankind 

in my heart,

expand my material self  into 

the human greater self...」

In real life Goethe was a spiritual practitioner. 

Standing in the elegant and solemn auditorium 

I was thinking of 《 Faust 》

has been performed here 

countless times...

don’t we also live on the stage of life every day? 

Do we try our best to interpret each role?

A giant wooden sculpture on the top floor 

of Goethesnum - Representation of human nature (because we were not allowed to take pictures, 

could only take the simulated photos before carving.）

This wooden sculpture was a creative collaboration between Rudolf Steiner and Edmond Marianne.

It described the truth of life :

If we are isolated from the world, 

live in an illusion,

it will hinder all the trials and practice of life. 

Although material is necessary for life,

to be blinded by greed

will lose oneself

and lose inner goodness and beauty.

This wooden sculpture was also 

for the ultimate characterization of human nature spiritual cultivation.

In my eyes,

it is tribute to life.

Life learning, growth, 

self-cultivation and practice 

is in our daily life.

For dealing with any problem 

and all  kinds of encounters -

we have to face it, 

deal with it, 

let it go 

as much as possible.

The most important thing is that 

we can see through 

birth, old age, sickness, death,

the joys, sufferings... 

It is worthwhile 

to contribute to the welfare of all living beings.

Goetheanum

incorporated into the spirit and philosophy of the organization at that time.

（ Through visible form and artistic modeling 

to present  their exploration and research 

of spirituality and life. 

And they finally achieved their mission ）

Their strong willpower 

and ability to act are admirable.

Promenades, steps and curves are perfect in every corner with a faint color greet the sunshine...

harmonious, vigorous 

make me feel the marvelous of life.
