( Sou Fujimoto )

Tainan is located in the southwest of Taiwan,

It is the plain of Taiwan,

and the widest area of farmland.

Cultural monuments are all over the city,

for the culture, academic,

education in south-central Taiwan,

One of the science and technology centres.

Japanese architect Sosuke Fujimoto

( Sou Fujimoto) once said :

" The street configuration of Tainan

Several roads extend radially from the circle to the outside.

The ring system is connected by a chessboard street.

The streets lead to countless winding alleys.

After turning into the inner street,

there is another cave.

Form a completely different street space feeling

although the scale is different

But this kind of road layout and city walking experience are very similar to Paris.

And Tainan has a very unique warm climate and charm in Asia. “

Tainan's historical sites are Chilao Building, Confucius Temple,

a collection of rich works of art

and cultural relics.

Chimei Museum,

Tainan Art Museum Building 2

Modern  architecture and Art Exhibition,

Japanese-style department store - Hayashi Department Store.

There are also many elegant   buildings…

nostalgic feeling emerge naturally.

See the history of the city,

the inheritance of cultural relics,

promotion of ecological environment education,

conservation of wetlands and wild animals,

improve air quality,

develop green energy.

The environment is beautiful and

simple and honest folk customs.

I feel that Tainan is a very friendly city.

An unforgettable journey.

Chimei Museum / Tainan Art Museum Building 2

Chimei Museum

Tainan Art Museum Building 2

(Mariko Kobayashi

Tainan Chimei Museum

It was founded by Mr. Hsu Wen-Lung,

the founder of CHIMEI Corporation.

Tsai, Yi-Chang, architect

design that combines Roman

and Greek classical aestheticse  style.

Come to the magnificent museum,

rich historical relics, works of art, sculptures, painting , musical instrument…

provide a lavish artistic feats.

It reminds me the design of Tainan Art Museum building 2

is completely different from Chimei Museum.

Tainan Art Museum building 2

was designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban.

The phoenix flower with Tainan characteristics has been turned into a pentagonal shape,

which is also used to adjust the green energy of architectural space.

When the sun shines on the roof from different angles,

It will present the sunlight through the leaf-like light and shadow,

Feel the breath of sunshine..

Seeing the exhibition of works related to memory,

Mariko Kobayashi

give me a deep impression.

She is good at weaving, embroidery

and so on.

Creation presents the connection between all things in nature and life.

Discuss the cycle and continuation of human life.

The death of the end of life,

It is the beginning of another life.

She said :

「 I believe that people should not forget sorrow and pain.

Even so time will still dilute memories

and let pain.

Although this is also a kind of redemption.

When pain becomes lighter

we will again encounter new happiness

and new wounds.

As new memories continue to accumulate

the original scars will also begin to change

think this process of healing

is an extremely precious time in life.

In addition I believe that memory can never completely forget the traces

that once existed. 」

As far as I am concerned,

The eight hardships of life :

Suffering of Birth

Suffering of Old Age

Suffering of Sickness

Suffering of Death

Suffering of being apart from the

loved ones

Suffering being together with the

despised ones

Suffering of not getting what one wants

Five accumulations are burning and suffering (  mind, feeling, thought,

 behaviour and cognition,

the five kinds of body and mind endure constant pain due to strong uneasiness

and troubles.)

These scars of suffering are hard to indelible.

However, spiritual practice can

purify the mind.

Let the good thoughts grow continuously.

See the true meaning of life clearly,

and no longer be sad and painful.

It can also make us strong enough,

nothing evil can hurt us anymore.

Goodness will be rewarded

and evil will be punished,

for there is a natural justice.

I am so grateful that art has enriched my life.

Also gives people self-exploration and reflection, even the energy of connecting

with all beings in society.

At the sunset,

The quiet lake sparkles with golden ripples.

colourful clouds are reluctant to leave the sky.
