媽媽 - Mother

媽媽喜歡一邊哼歌一邊縫製衣裳。

喜歡種植花花草草。

喜歡放美麗的劍蘭在晶瑩剔透的藍色花瓶。

喜歡閱讀，旅行，拍照。

喜歡穿祺袍（偶爾會穿洋裝大圓裙）

喜歡燙頭髮，改變髪型。

喜歡繡花，烹飪。

喜歡傳統扇舞。

喜歡和狗狗Ruby聊天。

喜歡喝溫水。

喜歡將一大塊仙草切碎，

加一大鍋水再煑一次，

放涼後才切塊放入每個小碗，

再加一點美麗雪白的糖粉。

她說這樣的仙草才清淡美味。

印象中她是溫柔貼心的媽媽。

漸漸的，

為了教養我們，

她變得堅持、嚴厲。

有時我會為己見與媽媽辯論，

甚至翻臉。

想至此，

淚水已模糊了媽媽燦爛笑容的照片。

直到自己做媽媽了

才知道做媽媽的不容易。

孩子是媽媽生命中最重要的人，

也是媽媽心中永遠掛念的人。

My mother enjoyed humming a tune 

while sewing garments.

she used to 

like planting  flowers and plants,

and putting beautiful sword orchids

in the crystal clear blue vase,

She was fond of reading, travelling.

and taking photos.

She loved to wear cheongsam

( occasionally wear western round skirts)

She adore to have her hair permed 

and change hairstyle. 

She liked embroidery and cooking.

She enjoyed traditional fan dancing .

She liked chatting with the dog Ruby.

She liked drinking warm water.

She liked  to chop a large piece of grass jelly,

add a large pot of water and boil it again. 

After cooling, cut in pieces to put them into each small bowl 

and add a little beautiful snow-white powdered sugar.

She said that this kind of grass 

is light and delicious.

In my impression, 

she is a gentle and considerate mother.

Gradually,

in order to educate us,

Mum became persistent and strict.

Sometimes I argued with her 

about my opinion.

Thinking about this,

my tears have blurred the 

brilliant smile photo of my mum.

Until I became a mother

then I know that it is not easy to be a mother.

Children are the most important people in mother’s life,

also mother's favourite.
