Life on the Seine in Paris

Ying Chen photography

Ying Chen watercolor painting -
Banks of the Seine

(Plateau de Langres)

(Eugène Haussmann,

The Seine,

length of 780 kilometres and a total area of 78,000 square kilometres,

it originates from the Plateau de Langres in northern France.

It flows through the centre of Paris, through Rouen in Normandy,

and finally into the English Channel.

Located on the Seine in Paris,

It was organised by UNESCO

in 1991.

Listed as a world cultural heritage.

Urban transformation of the Ottoman baron

(Eugène Haussmann, 1809-1891)

in the 19th century.

The city is divided into left bank

and right bank.

Left bank culture and art museums gather.

The right bank is mostly for administrative and commercial centres.

Classical architecture integrates modernization.

Paris is worthy of the reputation of art, fashion, romance and the City of Light.

Strolled along the Seine River,

I saw many boathouses moored on the shore.

I can vaguely see that the furnitures and equipment in the house are complete.

Spacious deck

has green surroundings.

Live on board, on the quiet water …

What a different life.

Thinking of Liu Yuxi,

a poet in the Tang Dynasty.

In the " Three Songs of the Embankment " :

At night, watching clouds and mist

cover the river and interaction of people by the river. 》

It seems to convey the mood of the people live on the river.

Eva Jospin 的奇異世界 - Grottesco d’Eva Jospin

Eva Jospin
Eva Jospin’s art works have been
exhibited at Taipei Fine Arts Museum

Ying Chen photography

Eva Jospin

Domus Aurea

Eva Jospin

Eva Jospin is a French visual artist.

The title of her exhibition at the Grand Palais Museum is 《 Grottesco 》

Inspired by the legend of a young Roman -

He accidentally fell into a cave full of murals in the palace.

There he found the forgotten

the mural of Domus Aurea.

Eva Jospin's creation is based on this legend.

Her virtual world built with cardboard, wood, shells, pearls, stones, coloured paper, metal, thread embroidery…

It's a healing garden.

These ruins, caves,

castles, gardens, forests,

and embroidery...

All the dreams are infinitely possible to appear in front of the world.

Standing in this dream garden,

forget all the troubles for a while.

Immersed in dream and poetry

is also a kind of happiness.

A timely snow it's an omen - have a good harvest

Ying Chen photography

The first snow of the New Year

in 2026 -

Pray for our family, friends,

all sentient beings are safe and happy.

And pray for world peace.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Seeing the sunny day after the snow

reminds me of a poem :

A timely snow

it's an omen -

have a good harvest.
